FAQ

Laser FAQ

Book now
What services do you offer for laser engravers?
We handle general cleaning, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, minor repairs, optics care, alignment checks, and performance tuning for fiber and CO₂ machines. The goal is to restore or maintain consistent power, clean cuts, and reliable operation.
How often should I have my laser cleaned or maintained?
Frequency depends on usage. Light hobby use may need attention every few months; higher-volume shops often benefit from more frequent cleaning and checks. Heavy daily use, dusty environments, or visible drop-off in quality are signs it’s time for service.
What does a typical cleaning and maintenance visit include?
A standard service usually covers exterior and interior cleaning, lens and mirror inspection/cleaning, debris removal from rails and the work area, basic alignment verification, airflow/exhaust checks, and a quick performance test. We’ll note any parts that may need replacement soon.
Do you work on OmTech and other brands?
We have hands-on experience with OmTech fiber and CO₂ systems as well as other common brands such as Boss, Thundar, an SA Laser. We can also help with most Diode Laser with the exception of X-Tool. X-Tool warranties are iron-clad so servicing them through a 3rd-party can limit your ability to get parts or support in the future. Include your machine model and any issues you’re seeing when you book, and we’ll confirm whether we can service it.
Can you diagnose problems remotely or do I need to bring the machine in?
Many issues can be narrowed down in a booked virtual session with photos or video. For cleaning, alignment, and most repairs, the machine needs to be accessible in person.
What are common signs my laser needs service?
Look for reduced engraving power or depth, uneven results, burning or scorching beyond normal, unusual noises, error messages, dirty or hazy optics, or poor exhaust performance. Catching these early usually means simpler (and less expensive) fixes.
Do you offer maintenance plans?
We can set up recurring maintenance schedules for shops that want predictable upkeep. We also provide practical guidance on daily cleaning and basic care so operators can keep machines in good shape between professional visits.
